Pōwhiri and Class Talks
Powhiri
Every new student and staff member is encouraged to attend a formal pōwhiri at Ngā Kete Wānanga Marae to welcome them as they begin their journey - connecting with fellow students, staff and the institute.
Contact maraebookings@manuka.ac.nz to enquire about booking a pōwhiri.
Marae bookings work on a first in first served basis and we will endeavour to fill sessions to capacity (200) where we have a number of smaller groups.

Fun, simple and informative class talks are another opportunity to help new students know who's who and to build cultural awareness and competency through a Māori world view. Use the form below to let us know what time slot and where your class is, and we will come to you.
