Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF)

Last chance to access TTAF funding. Apply now for July.

If you start now and finish by the 31 December 2022 your study could be fees-free^ as part of the government's Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF).

Take your first step into study, upskill to move to a new role, or make a career change with MIT. Even if you’ve studied before, you can access this funding and it doesn’t affect your eligibility to get first year fees free.

What is TTAF?

Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF) funding has been targeted towards industry skill needs where demand from employers for these skills will continue to be strong, or is expected to grow, during New Zealand’s recovery period from the impacts of Covid-19.

If you are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident you may be eligible to get free^ training in areas that the government has deemed as critical to the post Covid-19 economic recovery.

You can access TTAF regardless of prior study you have done, including any study undertaken through the existing Fees Free funding. And if you access eligible programmes for free through TTAF, this does not impact on, or use up, your entitlement to the existing Fees Free funding.
