Biography

Why I love MIT

This programme is unique. It prepares our IQNs students and return to nursing students, to gain their Nursing Council of New Zealand registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). The class size is small, and students form a ‘community of practice’ and support one another during the 12 weeks. Students have an opportunity to learn about the professional context of nursing, the RN scope of practice, and professional nursing standards. Students then have a period of clinical practice, where they gain transfer new knowledge into practice and demonstrate safe, competent clinical care.
