Watch-keeps and Masters who wish to obtain a DP certificate.

This Nautical Institute accredited training programme is designed to train qualified officers wishing to obtain DP Operator certification to the DP Induction standards.

Course highlights

The Dynamic Positioning (DP) Induction course is the entry level Dynamic Positioning course and is required by all navigation officers engaged on DP operated vessels. This course has Nautical Institute accreditation and the successful applicant will be able to obtain a NI – DP logbook and work towards the DPO status.

Entry requirements

  • Dynamic Positioning (DP) Basic: A Dynamic positioning logbook can be purchased from the school for $200.
  • Please supply 1 passport sized photograph.
Dynamic Positioning Basic prerequisites:
  • Watchkeeper DOC CoC, equivalent or/and above
  • Any lower CoC, to be assessed on a case by case basis.
