Who should attend

This course is required for all crew designated on the muster list to assist passengers in emergency situations.

Course highlights

The course provides underpinning knowledge for dealing with crowds in emergencies, rules of crowd management and factors affecting human behaviour in emergencies. Participants will be able to work independently in controlling crowds in an emergency on board passenger ships.

The course meets the requirements for STCW Section A-V/3.

Attendees enrolled in NZ2895 New Zealand Certificate in Domestic Maritime Crewing (Level 3) can enrol onto any of the dates listed above. The fees for this course are included in your programme fees.
