Biography:
Lila has been in the teaching profession for over thirty years. She started her career in America Samoa, teaching in primary, intermediate and high school. She moved to New Zealand and pursued her Master’s in Education with the University of Auckland while working part time for MIT as a practicum visiting lecturer for the School of Education. She became a full time lecturer after graduating from the university. In addition to her role as a lecturer, she has also been a Pacific mentor for Pacific students in the School of Education.??
Why I love MIT:
I love MIT because they ‘walk the talk’ as reflected in the implementation of their core values. One value that I have learnt from MIT, is professionalism, especially in interactions with students and colleagues.
