Course structure

The pilot will gain familiarity and competence in the use of his portable ECS that communicates wirelessly with the Navicom Dynamics Harbour or Channel pilot system, providing highly accurate information presented on a personalised display.

The course was developed and is delivered by senior pilots of POAL, using the latest Navicom Dynamics software. The course contributes to the pilot’s CPD requirements as per MaritimeNZ regulations (MR.90.115).

Participants credited with this course will have demonstrated proficiency in all facets of the use of the Portable Pilot Unit and will be proficient in personalising the PPU with their own preferences.
