Nau Mai, Haere mai Whānau!

Auckland Council and Manukau Institute of Technology are proud to present Te Kete Aronui Makers’ Market, a family-oriented, community event to celebrate Matariki.

On Sunday 12 July, MIT Manukau will be where it’s at for music, kai, arts and crafts.

Te Kete Aronui Makers’ Market is a welcome addition to Matariki Festival celebrations. We’re delighted to support artists, craftspeople and small businesses with this event. Thanks to a partnership with MIT, the community can shop local – while enjoying a fun day out with whānau and friends,” says Ataahua Papa, Matariki Festival director.

Te Toki Voyaging Trust will also be there with their pop-up stardome, telling stories about seafaring, stars and waka.

Other popular attractions include RnR Music and the Hāngi Master Food Truck.
