Drone operation in a New Zealand business context

Course highlights

Drones are reinventing how businesses traditionally operate and are creating new opportunities for industry and the workforce.

Turn your passion into a career. Study our new drone operation course online, in four weeks (part-time). It will teach you how to apply this technology across multiple industries such as construction, logistics, maritime, engineering, search and rescue, security, real estate, media, delivery services and more.

Whether you’re self-employed or working for a company, operators must know and understand the legal requirements needed to fly an unmanned aerial vehicle such as a drone, which is a regulated activity under Part 101 rules enforced by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority.

Learn how to apply drone operation in a business context, for example, photography and video uses.

You’ll gain the edge over your non-drone-qualified competitors when you are pitching for work, or when looking for new employment opportunities.

This course is a micro-credential, which is an approved NZQA training scheme qualification. It requires you to practice using your drone.
