Biography

Sandra is passionate about nursing as a career. She has worked in a wide variety of nursing contexts and roles and believes that education is the key to everything. Modelling with students how they want whanau to be cared for and treated is the basis of her teaching philosophy.

Sandra started her nursing career over 50 years ago and still believe it is the best career she could have ever had. Nursing provides an amazing variety of contexts to work in so you don’t have to be stuck in one place or role.

Why I love MIT

I love the focus on supporting student success that MIT has, the support for lecturer development and the opportunities and encouragement to be creative and flexible in teaching.
